Dr. Mark G. Mykityshyn, Ph.D.  |  Christopher C. Melton, Sr.

Dr. Mark G. Mykityshyn graduated from the Naval Academy in 1981, and was commissioned in the U.S Marine Corps where he served as a Naval Aviator.

He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the U.S. Army War College, which plays an instrumental role in preparing future strategic leaders to identify, develop, and address both current and future issues that are critical to national security, the DoD, and the Army. He is a also a member of the Naval Research Advisory Committee, which provides the Secretary of the Navy, the Chief of Naval Operations, and the Commandant of the Marine Corps with independent advice and recommendations on scientific, technical, and R&D matters. He has also consulted for both the Defense Science Board and the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.

In the private sector, he served as a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he participated and led several engagements, with a primary focus on aviation and aerospace. His work included the formulation of technical, economic, policy, and financial recommendations to develop a fully “Joint Use” Global Navigation Satellite based airspace system. He also co-authored a 500 page study that analyzed the evolution of worldwide Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS), and Air Traffic Management (ATM) Systems.

Dr. Mykityshyn is President of The White Oak Group and currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Board of MissionMobility LLC and EOIR Technologies, Inc. Prior to The White Oak Group, he was a co-founding partner of Five Paces Ventures where he led that firm's investment strategy in next-generation network infrastructure software.

The focus of both is taking technologies well suited for the government, improving them, financing them, and inserting them into the market. Prior to his positionsat Five Paces and White Oak, he co-founded Backwire, Inc., which was sold to Leap Wireless International (NASDAQ:LWIN). He has served on the boards of a number of companies, both public and private.

Dr. Mykityshyn earned his Doctorate from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Systems Engineering. He also earned a Masters degree in public administration from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, and the degrees of Engineer of and Master of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from M.I.T. While at M.I.T., he investigated human performance and engineering issues associated with the design and evaluation of advanced avionics and navigation systems. He also worked with NASA on the design, test, and evaluation of the Multifunction Electronic Display System (MEDS) that was implemented into the Space Shuttle fleet.


Christopher C. Melton, Sr. is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The White Oak Group ("White Oak") and the General Partner of White Oak Guggenheim Capital Partners, LLC, and White Oak Investments, LLC, and White Oak SBIC, LLC. He also currently serves as Co-Chairman, Finance and Operations for EOIR Technologies and MissionMobility.

Mr. Melton has over 30 years of business experience with a particular emphasis on corporate turnarounds and business restructuring. Prior to the founding of White Oak, he was Chief Executive Officer of CNP, Inc., a business-to-business technology and service provider and CEO of Amplified Holdings, a leading provider of digital technology to the retail and media industries. Prior to his positions at CNP and Amplified, Mr. Melton spent 19 years at IBM, where he served in numerous executive positions in sales, marketing, finance and operations in the Americas and the Asia Pacific region, including Chief Financial Officer for IBM's Asia Pacific Services Corporation and President of IBM Asia Pacific Investment Corporation. Prior to his departure from IBM, Mr. Melton served as the senior executive responsible for IBM's eCommerce business in the Americas for the Financial Services Industry.

Mr. Melton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of South Alabama and has attended postgraduate education at Harvard University, Columbia University, Babson College and Thunderbird University. He serves on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is a member of the Board of Directors for Business Executives for National Security, and serves on a number of other non-profit Boards.
