Greenbelt, MD (February 2008) Global Protocols, Inc. (Global Protocols) and White Oak Management Partners, Inc. (White Oak) jointly announced today a definitive agreement for a private investment group led by White Oak to acquire Global Protocols. The financial terms of the agreement are not disclosed.
“The timing of the acquisition is ideal for both companies”, said Global Protocols’ president Monty Deel. “We are coming off a record year for profits in 2007, and it is clear from our recent sales momentum that the high demand for our technology has yet to peak. Under White Oak’s guidance we will extend our install base through new licensees, new communications media and a broader set of DoD customers. ”
Global Protocols is projecting significant growth this year, due in large part to an increasing number of licensees and a series of new technology releases that will introduce their products to a broader market. “Our install base is increasing at a pace much faster than we predicted,” said Global Protoocols Vice President of Business Development Nick Yuran. “We expect to see this growth continue as we expand into new and emerging military communications markets”. These new markets include military VSAT, Inmarsat, field data radios, and various other comms-on-the-move platforms within the tactical communications industry.
The company’s objective is to have Global Protocols technologies on every relevant communication platform within the DoD's concept of the network centric battlefield, and under White Oak's leadership Global Protocols expects this objective to be very achievable.
