“Orbital Data Signs OEM Agreement With DataPath”

Orbital Data will provide satellite communications solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense under an original equipment manufacturer agreement with DataPath Inc., Orbital Data announced Nov. 28.
The solutions are intended to enable quicker transfer of time-sensitive data to military units around the world.
DataPath will integrate Orbital Data’s Totaltransport software into DataPath’s communications solutions for extreme environments. Total transport increases data throughput by up to 200 times and application response time by up to 400 percent, Orbital Data said.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
