Radyne Receives $2.3M Order from DataPath

PHOENIX, AZ - January 5, 2005 , Radyne ComStream (NASDAQ: RADN; Warrants: RADNW) today announced that it received an order for $2.3 million to supply DataPath, Inc. with its flagship satellite modem, the DMD20.  DataPath will use the modems in its DKET (Deployable Ku-Band Earth Terminal) and TRACKX products.

"We are delighted that DataPath chose Radyne to support these important products" said Bob Fitting, Radyne's CEO.  "The DMD-20 Universal satellite modem has demonstrated reliability that is essential for these strategic and mission-critical applications.  The DMD-20 has more features than any other modem today."

DataPath's DKET and TRAKX terminals are designed to provide worldwide connectivity via-satellite to expeditionary groups operating in locations that lack telecommunications infrastructure.  With over 80 satellite earth terminals deployed worldwide at the service of the U.S. Government  and commercial customers, these successfully field tested designs are ideal for semi-permanent deployment to remote and/or unmanned field locations.  The DMD20 modem is a core component of both products.

"Our choice of Radyne products over the last seven years underscores our confidence in their technology and their ability to support our integrated products," said Andy Mullins, DataPath's CEO.  "Both the DKET and TRACKX are DataPath's most visible and successful products providing satellite telecommunications services to our global customer base."
